PERIOD PROBLEMS!!!! PLEASE HELP?

So heres the thing, I started my period a few months ago and i told my mum (which was really awkward) so she bought me some pads and stuff, but since then i deal with it myself which i feel better doing cause talking about it is embarring, but she keeps asking me when i had my last period and if its heavy etc... and i feel REALLY uncomfortable as we arent very close, how can i make her leave me alone and let me deal with my problems myself??
