It seems from what you're saying that he does.., He's blushing around you and smiling a whole lot. Maybe you should pursue him. He's a nice guy right? In my opinion what gaved it away was his body language. Meaning the big wave he sent your way. Obviously he felt more enthusiastic of saying hi to you than your friend :) good luck
