Some defend political correctness as politeness!!! What is with that?

I don't believe one needs to lie or defend false umptions that are generally accepted to be polite!!! What kind of coward stands for that type of polite behavior? What is the moral standing to live in false, yet beneficial, testimony or on top of a wall of convenient omitions never taking sides the right side when it is not popular!!! Are we in such desperate need to belong that we lost all concep of truth and/or individuality?
