Steering Wheel grinding noise?

Recently i got a boss kit and new steering wheel. It was fine at first but now it has started to make a grinding noise. I have pinpointed it down to the horn contact ring and the pin. If i hold the pin down it makes no noise. do you know what i can do about it? thanks
