How do I get rid of Cigarette Smoke in my Apartment?

I just moved into an apartment and realized the neighbor above me smokes! The cigarette smell is so bad that it gets on my clothes and handbags. I have tried opening the windows and getting a small air filter for my bedroom at the least. I live in OH so having the windows open for now is okay, but once winter hits, I am out of luck for fresh air. Because it is a continuous problem, I don't know what to do. I have talked to the apartment complex and all they can offer is for me to move AGAIN when something opens up. The major issue is the fact that I smell like a chimney AND I DON'T EVEN SMOKE! Any Suggestions??
