Is it worth it having a car your freshman year of college?

It depends on your college. Is it really rural or close/in a city? If it is in a city, skip the car. If is is more rural, I would definitely take a car, (if you can afford it). Relying on public transportation in smaller towns is a pain. Plus, you can make friends quickly if they need rides and even make some money.
