Regarding the English peerage: Do 2nd and 3rd sons have titles?

For instance, if the heir is in line for the dukedom or earldom, does he hold a title until he becomes the duke / earl? And do the other sons get titles? Or are they simply known as 2nd and 3rd sons? i appreciate all of your feedback on this question. Thank you in advance.
